San Francisco Suiseki Kai held our 32nd annual exhibit on August 3-4, 2013 at the Japan Center in San Francisco. This year our show coincided with the 40th annual Nihon Machi Street Festival. We had many visitors, both old friends and folks who just stumbled upon us. So many of the first time visitors become entranced with the stones – they will come up to talk to us, saying “You know, I’ve been collecting stones and bringing them home all my life. I never realized that others do it.” It is so gratifying to give people that moment of pleasure.
